適逢假期，高中教師裏見英樹（三上博史 飾）駕車帶著妻子綾香（酒井法子 飾）和女兒奈奈去嶽母家度假。快樂的假期很快結束，返程途中，他們的汽車出現故障。英樹在電話亭打電話求助時，發現一張神秘的報紙碎片，上麵竟然清晰寫著女兒死亡的消息。正當他惶恐詫異之時，一輛失控的卡車撞向他們的汽車並引發爆炸，奈奈果然如報紙所寫的那樣葬身火海。 這起事故摧毀了裏見家的幸福生活，在此之後不久英樹便和綾香離婚。3年後，一個連環殺手橫行於世。過著平凡無聊生活的英樹某日竟然再次收到預測死亡的信息，而預言的死者正是他班上的學生沙百合（堀北真希 飾）……
