《美女的男奴》劇情簡介
成長於英國南部田園風光中的瑪格麗特（丹妮拉·丹拜-阿什 Daniela Denby-Ashe 飾）因為作為牧師的父親辭了工作，一家人搬到了全然陌生的北方小鎮米爾頓。不同於南方的溫暖舒適，處於工業革命時期的米爾頓陰冷又髒亂。路上不再是芳香花草，取而代之的是粗魯的工人，棉絮 飛舞的紡織車間。除了新環境的不適應，還有來自紡織廠的廠主——年輕的實業家約翰桑頓（理查德·阿米蒂奇 Richard Armitage 飾）的盛氣淩人及對工人的苛刻，這讓瑪格麗特對桑頓的第一印象極其糟糕。
隨著米爾頓生活的加深，瑪格麗特漸漸認識到工人粗魯暴脾氣背後的溫柔和疾苦，堅定的站在他們一邊。和其立場相反的雇主桑頓則對瑪格麗特一見鍾情，但不善表達的他似乎在無形中把瑪格麗特越推越遠。二人如同南方與北方，截然相反但又緊密相連……
